I would make sure I topped up as best I could in Gympie or Maryborough depending which way your coming. BP & Shell at Rainbow are extremly dear. Over a $1 / Litre.
Cheers

We usually fill up at the Matilda in Gympie then just do a top up in Rainbow before heading across...... :)

Shell at Tewantin then another ten litres or so at Rainbow - the shell at Tewantin is a fair bit cheaper...

Heath,
Are you going via Gympie or are you doing the better run up Cooloola Beach. I'd advise the beach run meaning a stop at Tewantin and a top up at Rainbow.
Fuel isn't that dear on Fraser :o :o :o
Wait till you take your boat and fish for 4 or so days to the wide grounds then fill car and boat :o :o :o

yeah,
Not to worried about the price, just that they don't take Fleet card on Fraser :'(
Bloody Gympie! I hate the place, is Cooloola a better run? Quicker? or just cause its along the beach?

All of the above. If you can time a dead low run, it will take a good half hour off your trip. And it feels like more since it's better scenery. Just resist the temptation to stop at every good looking gutter ;D
