2wd to 4x4 conversion

Hi guy's

I have a 1994 toyota hilux dual cab 2wd & was told that I could turn it into a 4x4. Has any one done this or know if it can be done, & what would be the cost.

I could sell my hilux for maybe $8-$10K, but a 4x4 hilux would be about $15000, so at least $5000 more and thats without transfers taxes etc. would be nice if a swap over could be done for only a couple of thousand.

Failing that anyone got a 4x4 they want to swap for a hilux ;D

By the look of the other thread you could have had one for 12k.

Saw a duel cab on Bracken Ridge road near the corner of Norris rd today 94 mod about 12grand. had a canopy and looked ok. be down that way again saturday or sunday,see if there is a number on it
