hyundai terracan crdi

hi, the father in law is in the market for a 4wd. he popped in to a hyundai dealership to look at the terracan turbo diesel. from what i understand is a relatively new engine on the market :-/. has anyone got one or have any feedback on this vehicle. thanks mark :)

my concern wouldn't be so much for the engine but the gear box - korean gearboxes have some bad reps.

Where's he going to use it?

Also how well suited is the thing for off road use is it - clearances, sealing, underbody protection & positioning etc.
