My previous Patrol was on LPG from day 1. Sold it at 320,000 km for various reasons and bought a 4.8L in Jnuary 2003.
With the current price of petrol I'm thinking of going down the LPG path again.
Anyone know of any problems with putting LPG on the current Patrol petrol donk?
By the way the last Patrol, with the 4.2L engine gave absolutely no problems except for a new set of diaphragms and seals at about the 180,000 km mark.
Any help would be appreciated.

My brother boss runs the nissan patrol club in brissy I will ask for you,but as far as I know gas conversions are so up to date that I dont think you would have any problems. I have a gq and was thinking about coverting mine ,what milage per tank were you getting in the gq?
thanks marty

Running from Perth to Melbourne towing my boat, weighing about 3 tonnes, I got about 16L/100km. Mind you that was almost all on the flat. Through the Adelaide Hills I could watch the gauge go downwards!!
Running at freeway speeds light I can easily average 15L or better.
I don't expect to get this with LPG but with the price differential I must end up in pocket from the conversion, provided there are no problems with the installation.
I've heard for example that Ford's don't like LPG on at least one of their engines.
Thank you for the reply.
