Hi everyone, I am new to this but I thought I would show a couple of photos of my FJ45.....it was completely rebuilt from the ground up and has been on the road in this form for 6 years and 78,000 ks. It is a full fibreglass body, has duel fuel and most importantly has a fridge that can hold 9 cartons if pushed. The wife and I bought it in Cairns a few months ago and drove it to Brissy, drives incredibly well for a big truck.

Good onya CTB, looks good, the 40 series are tough buggers. What type of body is it? Is that the extra cab with the two sideways seats in it?

PS. Welcome to Ausfish, look forward to hearing about some of your adventures.

Good looking rig you got there Brow. The 9 cartons in the fridge means it must be an ex army first aide vehicle.
45's should be entered to the 4x4 hall of fame.

The tinny on top looks like its seen a few missions as well.
Hope thats not the wife you got your arm around, the shelia in the white top is better looking.

:D :D Thanks for the welcome......there's quite a story behind the ole 45', she was actually rebuilt by a bloke I used to work with about 7 years ago, he and his brother spent quite a bit of time and money on it. It is a fibreglass extended cab put on top of the old chassis, the chassis has been blasted, galvanised and sealed, diffs and engine bay have all been sand blasted and powder coated . It has an extended tray on the back so that we can fit a full queen size bed in the back. The fridge runs off the solar panel and thru 2 6V deep cycle batteries hooked up in tanem, this is in a box behind the drivers seat, the fridge itself sits next to that behind the passenger seat. Single driver seat with double, well 1 and 1/2 seats. Every nut and bolt except for a couple on the roof racks are 316 stainless. Anyway just a few extra details on it. We have been to Inskip and up to Mt. Mee in last few weeks and it just keeps chugging along. You can see I was pretty happy to get the truck so the tall guy is my old mate and I am the lucky bugger in the middle. My missus luvs the truck as she can have some refreshments during the trips, this always makes for a merry trip. ::) Anyway got some more recycling and writing to do....you know.....recycle a few tinnies and write myself off.........cheers brow

I should add this photo from Inskip.........it was from last May.....quite a bit of money sitting in the water and on the sand. The big cat went over on the bar about 6 in the morning, they lifted it out, drained her out and carted her off, all a bit sad really but shows that u never know
