We'll see. :-/ It gets it's first dip tomorrow. Test the car by driving down to Jacob's Well (Rudy Maas), and test the boat by driving it round to the Seaway. Never driven anything as big before, car or boat, and the electric brake setup hasn't even been calibrated yet. Ah well, practice makes perfect, but the car won't exceed 90 and the boat will have plenty of fenders festooned from it. Those jetties/pontoons are pretty unforgiving to ignorant pomms :D

Dale, the deckie does all the driving and reversing.....she says she trusts herself more than she trusts me ;D It pulls just fine and the deckie said she hardly noticed the rig until we had to go up the gateway from a standing start on the way back.

Had a drama getting it off the drive as the brakes couldn't be calibrated until we got on the flat therefore there was no brakes on the trailer coming off the drive. As she pulled away the rig was pulling the car back as the deckie played the clutch..........lots of smoke and smell of burning and not too good a start to the day, but hey! we have to learn eh? :)

Like a dream mate. Out of the hole quickly and those trim tabs are a blessing. Handled lovely in a following and the only thing that really annoyed me is how the stern drives have you wandering from side to side at slow speed going through anchorage. It's a job not to oversteer. Will take a bit of getting used to manouvering in small spaces. Rudy's seemed a bit tight for backing round and I had to reverse out.

The stern was a bit sooted up when I got her out of the water but I don't know if that's normal when running in. I'll keep an eye on it.

great...I had similar the first time with mine..getting used to the different feel of the handling of it and how it responds...even with twin motors it still feels a bit different..just a matter of getting used to it.
