For those who own a 2WD ute-

just a quick question, how many Km's are you getting per litre of fuel?

I have a 4wd 2.8L Diesel triton and i am tossing up whether to sell it and buy a 2wd ute as i am not using the 4wd as much as i thought i would. i am getting about 10-11km's to the litre and am wondering how it compares to a 2wd petrol.

cheers,jeff

It might depend on how old the vehicles are you are talking about, but I traded an '84 4WD 2.0L petrol hilux on a '93 2WD 2.7L petrol hilux, because I wasn't using the 4X4 enough on a work ute. Main idea was to get better economy, but I was amazed and disappointed to find it used about the same (went better though).

Don't know about figures, but I know my TD Navara gets about 9.5L/100km, and it's a hell of a lot worse than that!!! Probably around 12 - 13.
