hi all

got an ECB high nudge bar but the bar is 63mm diameter and the common rodholder's U-bolt is too small

Apart from getting one made to suit that size, is there any other solution as a friend has given me this normal size holder?

thanks

Mate,
you could bolt or screw the rod holder to a piece of timber and then bolt it to your bullbar with bigger u bolts. I hope this makes sense if the rod holder is what i am thinking of.

mate, try a truck assessories place . they should have larger U bolts for sale which will do the job. Otherwise take gawby's advice and go the timber method

I think there are some rod holders around for that sort of nudge bar on the market. I had the same issue with my pathfinder nudge bar. I remember asking the guys at the tackle shop at carseldine but they didn't have one in stock (this was a couple of years ago.)

In the end a mate with a worshop made one for me by adding another peice of alloying to create a T shape. The Main shaft was about 500-600mm long and plus it had an additional small piece a couple of inches long the end of the shaft, it had two screw holes which went through the bottom of the nudge bar. I know you didn't want a custom job but if you can find a mate who can cut alloy and weld it ain't too hard a job.

Cheers
