Anyone round Townsville know Ollera well?
I'm organising a day up there on the 12th Nov, just wondering if someone who does a bit up there might be ablr to provide some info.
Cheers!!

What do you want to know? It may be closed off by now, the developers were getting interested at one time and tried to close the road in.
Could even be wet, get some local advise before you go in.
Have fun Haji-Baba.

I have spoken to a bloke at work who was up there last week end. He said it was a little dissapointing as the puddles were scarce and the creeks were an average foot deep (with some deep pools)
But as far as i know it is still open

was up there on sunday (5/11). was a bit disappointing as the creek was hardly flowing. wasn't too much mud about as there has been no rain, but enough too have a little bit of a play and get the fourby a bit dirty.
they'res three main ways you can go and are as follow:
1. after leaving the highway, turn right just past the railway tracks. this will take you down into the creek. keep following the track around and it will either take you too another spot along the creek or too the beach
2. after leaving the highway follow the track, do not turn off - this will take you directly too the beach
3. after leaving the highway follow the track up until you reach a 4 way intersection, turn left, this track will tacke you out too the beach. follow the beach too the north and you will see numerous huts along the shore (unsure how many huts are there now, haven't been there for a while)
another place i like to go is insulator creek just down the road abit, mainly beach driving but
cheers

I know that exact bog hole. Avoid all of them, as well as avoiding the track all together after moderate to heavy rain.
