snappa

O what a day… weather looked a bit iffy and to think I nearly cancelled…
Trip across the bay started at 4.30 am and ”snappa” traveled at 30km until we reached the cape for a slow and careful as the sea was a bit sloppy.. Outside was just picture perfect with about variable 5 kts...
Fishing was excellent and our bag limit of snappa reached…My crew [Craig from P.B.A.] scored some large snapper. The current was raging south at about 3 - 4 kts and hard to keep the baits near the bottom …
Tried out on the 100 meter line for one snappa but the current was too strong so back to the rock to finish the day off. Hooked a large dolphin fish around 15kgs but my deckie had two UN successful attempts at netting the fish but finally the hooks pulled beside the boat and in a way I was glade .. Bloody shame to have killed such a beautiful fish and the colors were lit up…..
