reefies chewin hard out wide

fished 35nm east of noosa yesterday and caught 50kg of reefies. snapper between 2kg and 5kg, heap of pearlys and parrot. jigged up some amberjack and kingies as well on 300gm river to sea jigs. current was strong but we still managed to get our baits down to the fish. we got smoked 6 times by really big amberjack on our bottom bashing gear - 30lb braid couldnt stop them... pulled out the jigging gear(70lb braid) and didnt hook any big ones - 12kg being the biggest.. attached is a photo of the biggest....

Sounds llike a great day out mate, would love to get stuck into a few of those ooglies with my jigging gear.

ya mate it was a good day. jigging is great fun. every time i head wide i aleways drop my jigs over - i always connect and land some fish each trip.. i even caught 2 nice pearlies yest on my jigs as well as the amberjacks and kingies.

That is a really nice photo. the fish looks in great condition. Have been busted up a few times by what i think were kings or ambers recently.
