i fished in close today out of mooloolaba 3 km the water was very dirty and a bit of run to the sw but still managed to pick up a feed i left the ramp at 3.30am and was home by 7.00 am a bit of a mixed bag

:o just in 3 hour you lucky must have picked up the whole school.... i guess they all was on holiday ;D nice job good size parrot it,s very nice table fish... i tryed one of them two month ago it was so lovely....

Watching Fox yesterday I saw Fishing WA, and they caught what looked to be one of those MILF, and called it a sand snapper,
could this be the same fish?, known by another name.

sorry for the late replies the water was very brown with a current on top going north and down the bottom gowing s.e. i allways use a 50 lb hand line with 2x 5.0 mustard hooks with just enough lead to get to the bottom running straight on to them .50lb sounds heavy but i still loose a lot of fish on the bottom. A 4 kg sweet lip will put u into the bottom quick smart if u dont stop it straight away
