it seems we all agree on one thing FISH NUMBERS ARE LOW AND IT SEEMS TO BE A DEGENERATIVE PROBLEM. so the big ? is how do we get something done.

first of all bag and size limits need adjustment,
no go areas for pros and rec anglers alike,
off seasons for certain fish in certain areas,
more enforcment of laws,
i may have left out things you feel need change but dont despair.

how do we bring about these changes?

i think first we need paper work. ie studies of fish populations, breeding habits, EVIDENCE. i know it, you know it, but it wont be acknowledged it untill its put in black and white by a reputable organisation.

if you have documents that might fit this bill then please email them to me. also what areas you think are in dire need of attention.

from these documents, i will compile a petition( as much as i hate petitions)and post it here for discussion and suggestion. once we have smoothed out the creases. i will insert it onto the web in word format for all to download and distribute to tackle shops and anywhere you feel it could draw attention.

i do not think this will bring about any change but i can no longer sit idle.

Just a suggestion Mick, but maybe it would be better to get both pros n amatuers together in a meeting not to argue but to seriously look at the what can be done..then the paperwork and possibly a march on parliament by both..so the government might act rather then listen and not act. Just a thought..but hey I WILL BE THERE if this gets off the ground. If you need any help give me a yell.
