View Full Version : Closet south boatramp to Brisbane CBD ?
Just wondering if anyone can recommend a boat ramp for the brissy river near the story bridge/southbank on the gold coast/southern side of the river ?
There's a home expo on and I plan to go fishing while my girl is looking around...

David,
If you want to fish Moreton Bay. The Whyte Island ramp down new Fisherman's Island is the way to go.
Straight out to Mud Island and Moreton Island.
You can even fish around the Luggage Point or Fishermans Island.
Beats looking at a home show.

Try the boat ramp around in Breakfast Creek, although that's still a bit of a run back to South Bank.

I'm sure there are plenty of "Catties" up that way ??
Always wanted to try those mangroves across the river from South Bank for Mud Crabbs :-X, a mate from work used to catch plenty off the Heli Pad near parliment house. Eventually security told him to never come back ;D.
Cheers
Craig.
