i need to find a place in the middle of the outback with only gps coords, i need something with an on screen map that will show me the way after i input coords, does anyone know of a gps system that will do that?

GPS coordinates for the middle of the outback, you wouldnt happen to know anything about a missing pommy tourist by the name of Peter Falconio, would you? ;D

Hi Bling,
Mine will. You need a hand held with at least basic mapping.
On mine you can enter the gps cords, give it a waypoint name , goto it (with cursor) and then zoom out until you start seeing the major roads. You can zoom all the way out until you can see a map of Australia or the world even.
By spending a little more you can get a map on chip of all the Australian roads.
Mine is a Magellan Meridian , but other brands have the same sort of thing, Don't expect much change out of $800. :P
