Family Boating Safety Day
Wether you're a fisher-person, a new or experienced boatie, or just thinking about getting onto the water in any capacity, experts from our safety organizations will be on hand all day to provide advice and practical demonstrations on boating safety.
It is all about boating safety and the emphasis is about teaching adults how to use their safety equipment, including the live flare demonstration, also teaching children how to put on their life jackets and take care of themselves if the need arises.
It will be a fun environment with safety games organised by the Navel Cadets as well as resuscitation techniques by the Coochie Life Savers, there will be show bags with fun and important goodies!
The remote control boats will allow adults and children alike to navigate around beacons, jetties, marina's and islands. The day is totaly non- profit and aimed at on water safety education.
