Don't dangle your toes in the water as the sharks are hungry!

Are you aware that the Bremer, is in fact, the most polluted river in Queensland - the river is seriously sick. Do your homework and find out some info if you want to use the river for recreational purposes.

I have read a few things about the bremer being badly polluted, but I have also read that it has been cleaned up a fair bit - so I am a liitle unsure what to believe........

The Bremer River is improving but 50+ years of neglect takes a while to fix.
Sharks, fork tailed catfish and eels in the area you talk about. Do some exploring :- bream are a possibility if you find the right spots. I would not be eating the fish. ;)

i can tell you the mudcrabs are fine after eating them for 15 + years i have not been sick from them neither has the misses or kids not sure about the fish though don't quote me on that one i would not eat a fish out of there althouht i know of people who have for years
DON"T QUOTE ME ON THIS IT IS TOTALLY UP TO YOU
i would hate the thought of making you sick from fish or crabs from that area even though i have had no problems at all
Cheers

Bye your house.
Just to be able to put a boat or a line straight into water is a dream come true.
Have a happy Easter and a happy life on the water.

bremer has fresh water stone fish ( bullrout)
and Bull sharks.
i see a pattern here ! bull sharks bullrouts. bities. :-X
Na just mucking with ya .
this things are in there. but its up to you
i can spit to the local river and it full of bull sharks too but the kids still swim there every weekend. ???
but with the sharks are big bream big catfish big eels big bass and have seen flathead as well. 8) even though the river is a bit cleaner than the bremer its still a fun place with the kids .
know blokes that ski the bremer all the time, from a park there that has picnic facilities and a ramp and stuff.
enjoy.
