The only problem with sales is all the people that go!
I hate crowds! I'd rather pay normal prices when things are quiet.

All,
We had a huge day yesterday and we may have missed PM's and responses to posts but we just didn't get a chance yesterday.
Great day with plenty of speakers and people to watch them,it should be the same today.
Apart from now we will not have another chance to post here today so if anyone has any questions regarding the sale please call the store.

I went to both northside sales this morning. For what it is worth, I thought that Sundown's was pretty well organised and the friendlier affair of the two. A meeter/greeter at the entrance to ensure that we entered the doorprize and to give a voucher for the free sausage sizzle. The usual suspects giving talks but not crowded this morning so it was good to hear Dave Downie's talk on cast nets and see his video on the seaway and to listen to a bit of Gary Howard's usual talk on motor maintenance.
One thing that was missing for me is that whilst the talks program was displayed on site, it was not advertised beforehand so I never knew if the celebrities were giving talks or just hanging around being celebrities. The talks are a good drawcard for me always so I might have planned for more time there if I knew in advance what the program was.
I am sure that the very best 'bargains' went yesterday but I was happy with the knick-knacks that I bought there today. It was also good to talk to the Evakool rep for a while too.
'Twas a nice Sunday morning outing, Thanks Sundown. 8-)

Uripper,Chareville
We hear you on the complaint about not advertising the presenters.
The reason we could not do it was timing,we finalise the magazine ads two weeks before the sale weekend and we had not finalised some of the speakers by that time so we had to run the adds without a time table. We did not finished the program untill thursday due to the above circumstances.
Glad you all had a great time.
Sundown Marine.
Thanks for the effort Sundown.
I only picked up a few bits'n'pieces, but I had a decent chat with Grant about GPS/Sounder combos. I'm not in a position yet to make the investment, but I appreciated his time and he's helped me make up my mind about what make/model I'll be after when the budget's looking a bit healthier.
Good work guys, I enjoyed it.

damn..I got dragged along to the homeshow by the other half..wallet is now empty and it is still smouldering
You guys put on a good show and I enjoyed my visit. Staff were quite helpful and were glad to spend the time talking to me even with the crowds.
I was a little disappointed in the boat sales as I visited Sundown a couple of weeks earlier and received a cheaper price without haggling. I am not really complaining as I don't really believe in today only prices!
Still good fun!
