Hi All I have a mazda van I use L.P.G to run it on I have a 60 liter tank and this morning I called in to a servo in Morayfield to fill up even though I still had some 5 - 10 liters in the tank But wollar
the majic pump put 65 liters in to it
I am wondering was I ripped off???
I did see the T V Show where petrol were getting short change or short measureed But it not only Petrol But L.P.G as well I have told the member of State Government Ect let see what happens

If it's a 60 litre tank that is legally only allowed to be filled to 80%, by the auto cut off. Then you should only be able to squeeze 48 litres in. How much do you normally take to fill it.
Could it be a 80 litre tank with a 64 litre fill?
My bet is you were ripped off and have a case for reimbursement and they have a problem.

Gee Longtail
You do realise that its not the actual service stations that are the rip offs
The major companies and the government are your rip offs
Its only 48% tax remember
Now thats why they wont do anything bout the price
but also with LPG the temp of the gas and your tank will affect how much gas you can put in
An easy way to check whether the pump is ripping you off is to stop at 10litres and make sure the dollar amount is the same as the purchase price just with the decimal point moved
And when a petrol pump is calibrated they only check whether its putting out the exact amount they dont check to make sure the price it calculates is wrong
