Aren't the major ones already pre-loaded into your GPS?

They were on my Garmin GPS 72.

Practise, practise, practise....reading the instruction manual, that is. ;D ;D ;D

The major ones are on there on the GPS 72. In fact if you keep zooming out on it, all of the beacons around Australia combine to effectively become a map of Australia. :)

You might want to be a little wary of the beacons as shown on your G72. Mine has one for the Cleveland Pt. Lighthouse which is well off target.

While standing right beside the base of the light, it tells me that it thinks the beacon should be about a Kilometre to the SE of where it really is.

I tried to email them with this info, but it was such a hassle that I 'm not sure if the email went to the right place or not. I never got a reply, so I just switched off the function. I would rather have no mark than one I can't trust.

Deegee.

I have a Humminbird 383c Comb and it doesn't look like it has any built in GPS coordinates. But I could be wrong, if anyone knows different please let me know. Nat :)
