Paul,
I can't wait till the weather warms up too. Love those Goldens on the flats.
Should get a good run of Spotties this summer too, with the ring-netting banned. I'm just worried the commercial guys will net the hell out of the flats.
Keep the reports coming in.

Yep thats gonna be the problem take away one species and they will rape another :-[ and fisheasy is right they allready rape and pillage the flats now I see them doin it all the time. If only the QFS would realise the value of this wonderfull ??? place and stop that sort of thing happening.Paul

has everyone heard the good news?.....the longliners have threatend to leave mooloolaba if someone doesnt do something about the river mouth. And to think i was having a spew about its condition. Hell is doesnt worry me if the biggest longline fleet on the east coast leaves - just means better fishing for all of us!!!
cheers, Justin

Hey Paul, word has it there will be a few areas closed to the pros so we may get lucky!! Keep in touch with Dave of Fishermen's Corner 'cause he loves his gossip - he knows all!!!
Yep, we're all jealous you're having heaps of fun up there too!! Last trip we got some honker flatties.
Do you know Jules the local copper by any chance (both being keen fly fishers and all!!)

Hi Fisheasy,Yeh I know Dave but have'nt met Jules as yet but sure I will in the near future being a keen flyfisho I will no doubt see him on the water. As for the green zones it may effect more than the pros from what I've heard so far,I rang parks and wildlife dept the other day and its still with the minister and should be released for public comment within a month or so.From what I was told I think it will be very important for everybody that likes to fish this area to respond to the new proposed closures or we might all lose some good fishing areas.Regards Paul.
