Hi guys ,

Would like to have a go at catching a jack in SE Queensland on fly. I will probably try Dahlberg divers for the surface stuff and maybe clousers with the sinking line but any advice on flies . There must be a few favourites out there.

Cheers Rod

I could try to be funny and say those flies owned by someone else! Practically clousers, decceivers, pinkthings redthings cockroaches, other minnow paterns, big woollybuggers. Something with some size and movement. And that you are prepared to lose happily.

All of the above. Gurglers also. Mine have been on clousers and either a sink tip or intermediate line. Don't give them any quarter at all.

Im keen to give the local jacks a good go this summer. My fave fly is a biggish 4/0 Deceiver,in white with green or olive back, and some red in the collor. Good luck, let us know how you go. Quinny
