Has Lake Manchester ever been stocked??
Will it ever be opened to fishing?

Unfortunately I believe the answer is "NO" to both.

I believe they are actually letting the water drain from Lake Manchester at the moment into Wivenhoe due to the drought.

I used to ride horses around lake manchester and oneday took a rod with me just to see if anything was in there, i used worms for bait under a float and cast around the lilly pads, kept getting "bites" - enough to pull the float under for a few seconds but never hooked whatever it was, gave up after 10min suspecting it was spangled perch but havnt been back since. There could be just about anything in that lake- native and introduced fish trapped when the dam was constructed or even illegally stocked fish
