My outboard the other day played up a little - it would idle (although it didn't sound great) and when placed in gear it would immediately cut out. After a few attempts it righted itself????????? The fuel filter is getting on a bit so I'm going to replace it as I think it was a dirty fuel problem although a friend suggested an air leak in the fuel line. Any suggestions??
