if you strike reef or a floating log or anything solid enough to punture your hull, you have to think and act quick. this is how to make emergency repairs while in the water.
you should always carry the following in an easy to reach place
1) a synthetic pillow
2) two part 5min epoxy resin
3)a mixing bowl
4)bait board
if the hole is accessable from the inside----- mix the epoxy in the bowl. soak up the resin with pillow.place the pillow over the hole and place the baitboard over the pillow and pushdown. if you can find something to brace it with i.e and oar or gaf do it otherwise put downwood pressure on it with your feet.
