Hey all
Got a 12foot clark punt bout 18-19years old (85/86model). Was wondering if anybody knows the maximum hp for them. Its has no spec plate on it and currently runs a 8hp johno.
Cheers
Hi,
Don't know if it's of any help, but I've got a 3.4m Clark Cutter. It's rated to 10hp, but doesn't say what the max weight of the motor could be.
Hope it's of some use.

really!!! Thought it would have been around the 15hp mark. That would fly. Goes pretty good with n 8hp on it.
So a 15hpjohno or an 18tohatsu would be spot on.

I tend to agree with 15hp. From memory, ten to fifteen was the normal range for a 12 foot punt.
SeaJay build their boats pretty strong and they rate their 3.7 metre punt as 10/15 hp with max engine weight of 47Kg.
You can always contact the manufacturer.
