Pretty sure im buying a secong hand 385explorer next week with a 25honda (60hrs). Was wondering if it should be run on unleaded of premium whether if its just by preference of some owners or is it beneficial to the motor.
Cheers

For an outboard it doesnt really matter if you use standard or premium. I choose to use premium because I almost never use a full tank of fuel, so this helps keep the octane as high as possible for as long as possible.
Shane's advice is the same I was given, for the same reason.
Good luck,
Mike

Thanks Garry. I didn't realise the big companies would put ethanol in and not advertise it as a blend. >:( I don't spose they would accept any responsibility if it buggered the engine either. Looks like I'll have to find a shell servo thats on the way to the ramp.
