Public jetty in Yamba?

Hi, planning a trip to Yamba next week and wondering if there was somewhere I could pull my boat up close to Yamba. We stay at illuka and sometimes zip accross the river to get shopping etc and handier than doing the 50k round trip! Rang the coast guard and the Marina but no luck so far.

Hi Craig, without knowing your boatsize this a bit of a guess. but there are heaps of flat water beach fronts you can pull your boat up on. Whiting beach for instance is ok at he southern end

Yeah, I thought of that. There is a little boat harbour in from whiting beach I think near the caravan park in town. I think I'd prefer a jetty because you can chain your boat up but I guess a beach spot would be ok.
