Hi Guys,
Picked up the new big trailer today which is set-up with the Sensa-Brake system.
I am yet to fit the in car controller kit, but does anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do to set it up properly, and ensure it is working correct.
I am told I need to do something to the trailer to tune the system?
I know a couple of guys here have recently gone through this, so I just need a bit of help.
Regards
Darren
Darren im not exactly sure what you mean, but the system needs to be initialised before use.
If this is the case follow these steps...turn your ignition on while pushing and holding in the yellow panic button...this should make it beep three times.
Now you need to adjust the foot pedle sensitivity, for minimum pressure just press the brake peddle lightly to where you want brake pressure to start applying and press the panic button, the unit should beep once and flash once. That is now set.
Now place pressure on the brake where you would like maximum pressure to start and press the panic button again. It should beep twice and flash twice this time. Thats it! if it doesnt work correct just repeat and try different pressures. Unless the power on the car is disconnected it should store these settings, hope that helps...foxy

Darren , Dfox has explained it properly and a lot better than i could have
I had trouble at first as it was not initialised properly.
The sales reps had to try and take me through the steps over the phone.
Not the ideal way of learning.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the feedback.
I've since fitted the in car kit but with no luck.
I'm not sure if it's shoddy wiring in the vehicle or a faulty sensa-brake unit.
2 questions.
1. Does the red light on your in car kit come on when you touch the brake pedal, as it did on my old caravan electric brakes unit?
2. Does your sensa brake unit make a noise (compressing the hydraulic fluid and pressuring it into the lines) when you turn on the ignition?
Our unit doesn't do either of these things.
I seem to have power and the in car unit makes all sorts of beeps and different colour lights, but it doesn't actually make the brakes work!
Any help would be appreciated to narrow down the problem.
P.S. Does anyone live near the Gold Coast or southern Brisbane with a sensa brake in car kit on their car? If I could borrow this for two minutes it would prove whether it is our vehicle or the trailer brakes with the problem. If so please call me on 0412 004 590!
