Guys,

I HAVE DONE IT!!....
Only fellow boaties can understand the elation you feel with the purchase of your first boat.
The boat is a '94 model 4.5 Bermuda Northcoaster with a 40HP electric start, Mercury tiller steer. It suits me down to the ground. Has a full floor throughout, under floor storage, nav lights, bilge pump, extruded gunnels, rod holders, sounder, storm covers, under floor tank, marine radio Etc.... I have been seriously contemplating repainting the exterior of the hull, as it is bubbling around alot of the fittings, which is par for the course on a ally boat of that age.
I cannot think of an easy way to remove the old paint from the gunnels & the exterior of the hull without dripping paint stripper on all the parts of the hull i don't need to paint.
How would you guys go about stripping the paint back and preping it for a new coat? and would anyone have a ballpark gestimate on how much it may cost if i was to spray it myself? (how long is a piece of string I guess).

Anyway, I have attached a few basic piccy's of the boat for anyone who might like to share my boyish excitment..

Hi Knucle-Head
Good on ya, hope to join the ranks of boat owners like yourself soon. The graphics on the boat make it look like it's moving when it's standing still. Go for it.
Cheers
Roy ;D

Thanks Roy,

Not sure what I'm going to do for a paint job yet? I'm fond of the dark hull with white deck and gunnels. Looks smart IMO.

Hope you get your rig sooner than later...
