How do you bleed the fuel from fuel injected motors if storing for a while?
With carby motors it's just a case of disconnecting the fuel line and running untill it stops.
If a petrol fuel injected motor was run dry ,would it not damage the injection pump?
Happy Easter to All

Hi Barfly,
Thanks for reply,
I do not have a large outboard at this time.
But have often wondered about bleeding/storing fuel injected motors for long periods.
If you leave the fuel in then it at least goes stale .
Or does this not cause any problems?
Running dry was one of the cautions for my diesel 4x4 injection pump
