How to catch garfish

Does any one know how to catch garfish ??? ??? ??? ??? Please help me!

Hi Lincoln,, are you fishing from a boat or the bank?,,, number 1 thing to catch gar ( one of my favorite fish) is berley, which is a mixture of bread and tuna oil, put into a plastic milk container with holes in it, I use peeled prawns for bait on a number 10 short shank hook.
A small float, either the bubble type, or pencil float and about 30 to 40cm trace.
The big thing with gar is they don't like wind chop on the water, if its a bit rough they are very timid.
