I am heading to Coburg Peninsular in June. I,m towing a 4.75m tinny as far as Kakadu for a couple of weeks and then to Coburg Peninsular. I have been advised that my permits etc, are in the mail from National Parks. Can any one out there tell me if it is feasible to tow a boat out to the Peninsular or would it be more of a liability?
We are well set up for off road travel but I have not read any thing about towing your own boat there.May be a charter would be a better bet but there is nothing like having your boat and gear with you.

I could be wrong but I thought the road was unsealed for about 500ks, depends on conditions if thats the case.

I went up there in 2000. The corrigations are outragous & go for miles & miles....see ya dentist first too!

A few trailer boats had suspension probs with there trailers as a result. We had a 4m tinny that we put on the roof & made it no worries.

Ya should have no probs if ya trailer is in good nic, but I'd take suspension parts in case.....
