Double Island Point info

My neighbour is intending to fish the Double Island Point area soon, and has asked my to gather a little info for him.

He will be mainly fishing the beachs' and was wanting help in the bait, area, fish department !

Any and all info is appreciated.

Phil, heard the weed was still bad but I guess you can find patches where it aint.

Can he catch beach worms better than you ;). There's plenty there and are the best for basically everything dart/whiting/bream/tarwine.

Collecting pippis can be hit or miss depending on what the beach is doing as a result of the ocean. The best bet is within the first 5 k's of getting onto the beach at Teewah.

I was up there one Jan fishing for dart/whiting with worms when a guy landed beside me with a dirty old smelly pilly and I tried not to snigger.

In the next 35mins he landed 6 tailor with the best going about 3 kgs. >:(
