Hi Guys,
apart from a few charter trips, most of my fishing to date has been limited to river/estuary. Not that I'm sick of Bream & Flathead :P ... but reading about all these "small boat" pelagic captures has got me drooling :o :o

I have a 4.5m/40hp tiller steer Seajay and my most likely launching point (I now live at Mango Hill) would be Scarborough / Redcliffe. Although Nudgee or Bribie might be options as well. I would like some general info on spots to try within reasonable distance offshore - still a bit nervous about going too far on my own :o....but on a magic glassed out day who knows!

I'd like to get amongst the spotties, tuna etc. (how close do those little marlin get? ;D ;D) Not expecting GPS co-ords. just general areas to try. (Although any PM's will be gratefully accepted! ;))

Cheers
Blue

Mate, look up a couple of recent sites in this folder regarding fishing the Bay for palagics.
The bay is quite accessable with your boat, Moreton Island is about an hours run taking it easy. Target the beacons they are scattered throughout the bay as the major shipping channel runs through it, also study other boats movements. around the bay. You ll pick it up.
