Prawnstars are excellent for Flatheads and Jacks, the extra weight make them easy to cast and stay connected to the bottom, which you need for flatties!! As for SP's for flathead, anything will do, but try the bass minnows, gulps, squidgie fish, and terminators......

I have tried both prawnstars and kokoda sp prawns near the noosa north shore ferry late at night, after the ferry has stopped. Although blue back with holographic centre kokoda (sp) worked well for flatties and trevally, they don't take much to disintergrate (bad longevity). Then again the hardier prawnstars only worked well for the flatties (heaps caught + lure longevity) - but no trevally caught. Both flatties and trevally had prawns in their guts, and there were plenty of prawns in the water.
