i'm planning a trip to Missionary bay for 5 days sometime between the 15th of may till 20th june. Wondering what is the best tides/moon phase to fish? Any advice much appreciated. I know tides can be big up there, smallest tide difference seems to be mid june

Have always fished Hinchy on the big tides - lead up to full moon. No run no fun ;D ;D ;D
I head up Friday the 18th for a week or so. I've never fished Missionary bay but will more than likely this time - the northern end is not as affected by the fresh and reports come back to me that it's firing big time.

Report from the northern end of hinchinbrook on the weekend, fishing was very slow, a few barra rolled, couple of jacks, and cod, the ever present cod, most who went said the fishing was very slow.

cheers

In may june the weather will be cooler so the barra and jacks will be harder to catch as they slow down in the cooler months. However the mackeral will be firing by then around gould island so get out ya spoons rig ya wolf herring and you will be right.
