That is a very nice mixed bag with some excellent quality. All daylight captures by the look?

Your missus outfished ya? hang ya head in shame, the man catches the food the woman cooks it!. If she doesn't understand then you may have to knoble her, a drop of super glue lightly spread over the line as it sits on the spool should do the job ;D
(Yes kids I am only joking, have seen some very good female fishers that could give most blokes a whippin)

:o WANTED.. 1KG whiting, 2 KG bream, 5kg tailor :o
That kilo whiting will be the tough one, the others aren't too hard.

yep, ive still got to break the 5 KG mark for a tailor and the 2 kg mark for bream, have come close to the 1 kg whiting. these whiting in the photos would easily have gone 1 KG if they were fat fish unfortunatley they were very skinny. yep, she a gun fisho alright shes beating a lot of the men in the points department. ::)

the fish were not daylight captures we took the photos the next morning, you've got bugger all chance catching the quality of fish such as them fishing " our " stretch of beach. around rainbow and DI. just got to know where and when to target each species at night.

Here's a few more fish that drew and ang picked up off rainbow. I did get to see those whiting in up close and ... WOW, damn those things where big!

Absolute monsters.

These ones aren't quite up to scratch with the other's but a good catch non the less.

Keep on fishing.

Lots of good sized whiting where picked up off rainbow on the easter break. These two where caught by drew's other brother matt. Both are good sized fish, here's a pick.

Both the fellas are probably two of the best fisherman i've ever seen, forget rex hunt, these are the boys of the future. Already these two fellas have been dominating the competition knocking off the big guns to take 1st and 2nd place. , weighing in massive whiting, bream, dart, tailor, tarwhine etc.

Every comp they turn up with a full esky.
Good work!

You got yourself a harem? ;D

Otoh, I'm guessing that's missus SURF_SNIPER :o
can't decide on whether to hide after the women cook em remark or ask for tips on catching dart.

I wasn't even in the hunt last year, weighed in 600gm + dart on 5 days of the classic and never got a sniff :'(

Actually face seems a little familiar, have you guys been going to the classic for a few years, like around 5?.

She had a good old laugh about the super glue trick! ;D

were you fishing the beach during the straddie comp? that 860 gram dart could have been + or - 100 grams on the night. it was so windy the big VB can had to be pulled down and the offical scales were jumping all over the place. the scales wouldnt settle on a weight so they did a bit of a guestmate and we had to verbbaly agree on the weightwith the judges, :o ::) wasn't enough for a cash prize though. :'(

Yes I was fishing the beach last year, I missed the first 4 or 5 years of the classic but haven't missed one since.

I think yours might have been 760gm? maybe? from memory the three heaviest were between 800 and 816gm

Think it was the last or second last day that northerly forced em to take down the VB can ;D I can imagine how hard it would have been trying to weigh fish with it.

could have been, cant quite remmber. thought 1st was around the 900 g mark, was a while back now cant reload my memory, must be getting old huh? :) anyway, i though it would have gone heavier but angela was happy with the daily for her first comp.

Im very landrover biased, ;D they are with out a doubt the best beach vechicle you can buy. chances are once you've got one you'll keep it forever. just got to point in the direction you want to go and it will drive over anything!!

Heres the fillets, approx 16 Kg. ;D filled a good part of a large warick bin.

we have a very large family so every relative has a good feed of fish once per month.

I normally cryovac some tailor and dart fillets and keepem in the fridge to use as flesh baits in the next comp. cryovaced they last for 6 months in the fridge and 2 yrs in the freezer. the tailor fillets stay perfect.
