banana curse strikes again

today I went fishing with a mate for the first time in his boat we went to all the usual spots fished for about 6 hrs for 1 40cm squire :-[ towards the end of the day he pulled a banana out of his bag and started eating it ::)

was it the banana that gave us our bad luck ???
or was it just that it was like a pond out there today with no swell or current ???
tomorrow we will be heading out wider so I hope the banana curse has worn off

The only time I took a banana with me was when it rained, caught bugger all fish, and I broke things.

Yeah, the mrs packed me a lunch to go fishing once, i had alook before i put it on the boat and put the dredded banana back in the fruit bowl. She couldnt understand and thought it was a load of bull..... So now i have to make my own lunch.

Its been 4 weeks since my banana curse started.The last thing that happened is that I perferated a disc in my lower back. Havent been out for a month. Its killing me. Do anything, see a excorcist / priest... dont know. All I know is I hate bananas

Oh my gawd!
Last year I was up the Whitsundays & went out on a reef charter. All we caught all day was under sized cod, and one Wrasse. At the end of the day we were all whinging about the lousy captain. Anyway the decky was emptying the bins and there was a Banana skin!
He went off and was questioning everyone. No one owned up but he swore blind the boat was stuffed now and they might as well scuttle it.
I thought he was just being a ######! Sounds like it's true ???
