Fishing spots in the gold coast

hey guys ... im shaf , im actually new to fishing in brisbane/SEQ area , recently ben to the gold coast went to marine parade in southport and havnt caught a satisfactory amount of fish , nor were they good in size , could somebody help me out here i would really liek to know which locations r good for fishing around the gold coast , also what sort of response do you get in winter compard to summer as rumor has it that fishing is better in winter than summer in brisbane .
also what sort of fish hould i be targeting , i hav used marine worms , garden worms , prawn , and pilies .. havent got a good out come from any

You can also look at Heaths website at www.gcfishing.com but its a bit more angled for non landbased fishing.
