Hey,

I was hoping to get in some fishing this week and unfortunately it looks as though it may be just a single day for it. I'm thinking of making the dash to the Tweed River as I haven't fished there before. I'll be fishing light spin gear and a medium baitcaster. Could anyone recommend any good landbased spots? Ideally I'd love to have a crack at some Jacks with the baitie.

Cheers

Kev

Was fishing from a boat on sunday around chinderah stretch. lots of skiers and lots of mullet. don't know how you'll fare of the rocks as the two big hits i got, the cast was right up tight against the rocks and barely got the lure a metre off before being smashed. I got straighted out on one fish and then blown away next after changing the trebles to heavier mustads. One more followed the lure right out to the boat and turned away when i stopped the retrieve.

Good luck,
cheers, Roo.

Mouth of the river, off the rock walls.
Go south a bit and hit the Fingal beach or Headland

what day you going mate? you could try anywhere form the bar (jack evans boat harbour), to the #walkways on island drive, but i've been getitng some nice fish down at the old bridge down at chinderah, it;s only a platform now, but seems to be goind well on the making tide.
