Not sure that its open too late at night, there is a gate on it, don't know when or whether they shut it. There is also a $4.50 charge to fish off it.

When the word gets round that the tailor are on that place gets packed out shoulder to shoulder practically. During the day there are usually good catches of dart, whiting and bream and at night the bream tailor and whiting normally come on the chew. Sucks having to pay to fish off the jetty and even walk on and i remember just a few years ago it was free. not sure how you'd land the shark from the jetty if you hooked up.

hey eye candy I did a stint down at the spj for a couple of months. Always fished the early mornings. The old lady said that the tailor season didn't eventuate last year but what there was,was caught at dusk and very few in morning. plus very early about midway down there were a few medium size jew caught. My mate and I caught a few salmon around 3 kilo ::) good fighting but ok for soup only I think. I used a dilly to bring them up. Others had a flying gaff or whatever you call it. There are some large bream around the pylons. Nice place to float a SP ;D. If you can keep them of the pylons >:(. Now I know how a cat feels after looking at a bowl full of gold fish. So close but so far away :'( :'(. Anybody else do any good down there at night?
