View Full Version : Quality Bait Supply?
Hi All,
I am looking for somewhere in the Brisbane area or either of the coasts where I can buy some good quality 3x2 Gar to use as trolling baits. If any Ausfishers can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated [smiley=dankk2.gif]
Cheers,
Jeff

A good bait shop is at the little service station just up the road from cabbage tree point ramp. There is a nice pub beside it any way u can get beautiful fresh saltwater and freshwater gar there in all sizes cheers jpart10

the gem. Think it got its name from the prices they charge, but they do have good range.

I get bait from Jones' Tackle on Lutwyche Rd. It is consistently good quality and the staff there are really helpful.
When desperate I use the tackle shop at Carindale just before Bunnings heading north on Gympie Rd but the quality is inconsistent - sometimes good and sometimes mushy when it defrosts. They do open at 4am though so a good back up plan if I don't get any before the trip.

I suspect that you mean Carseldine. Carindale is on the south side and nowhere near Gympie Road. :-/
