Started work at sanctuary cove and have started to fish the coomera river and can get poddy mullet occasionally but wondering if any1 had any spots for yabbies.
reckon the coomera river and northern creeks are much more fun to fish especially on weekends , no crowds , no riviera tsunamis and actually hungry , non-scared fish around!
But seriously its jack and flatty country so would love to know some bait grounda any help appreciated
thanks

you need to head to the mouth of the north arm if you want deccent yabbies, and even out there they are limited.

the north arm fishes ok, nothing to get excited about, just have to watch the idiots in houseboats, just make sure u watch ur back, iv nearly been cleaned up a few times by the complete airheads.

I know you can get yabbies at Runaway Bay, go up from the main shopping centre to the foreshore by the broadwater at low tide. I guess you need sandy spots, and a lot of the coomera is muddy banks. Maybe try Jabiru Is on the sandy side, under the main bridge. I dont use yabbies much. When I did, I just buy em live from nev howards.

Live herring I can help you better, or muddies. I use more SPs now. I can help you with plenty of good fishing spots around sanc cove if youre using a boat.

cheers
