Hi all, will be in Hervey Bay on the 1st Oct. for 6 days :D :D and was wondering what is biting around the boat harbour at the moment. Unfortunately will be land based.
Thanks
Eric

Eric.A friend told me that he and a mate have been catching some large whiting(35cm plus) off the beach just south of the harbour wall at night on the big tides. I did here of some good catches of whiting over at Moon point beach. These guys went over on the vehicle barge for the day (walk on walk off). Its not a bad day over there but take plenty of water as there is none available there. You can dig yabbies in the creek and an excellent place to throw lures. Best of luck. Bob.

Get bream, flatties, whiting regularly, also get estuary cod, jacks, trevs, queenies, macks at the right times of year. The estuary species are probably ur best bet atm, use yabbies or sandworms on the flats or large bnana prawns inside the harbour around the walls
