Tailor run

Hey Anglers,
I have spent the last week with my fishing club at fraser Island. Fishing Indian head with gang hooks and pilly its been a great succes. The Tailor have been hitting hard and are a great fight. After 5 days i come out with 5 Tailor all over 40cm biggest being 55cm a 40cm Lizard and a 32cm Tarwhine. Has any one else been at Fraser for the run and if so some reports would be great?

We are still getting runs of Tailor at the spit at the goldcoast. Just opposite the artificial reef about 1 km north of macas at surfers. The numbers are starting to thin but at dusk and dawn on a ganged pilli you can normally pick up 1 or 2. We scored a 5 1/2 kilo thumper about 4 weeks ago. Best tailor I have ever seen. Cheers. G.

About 8 weeks ago we were at Narrow Neck at the Gold coast and for about an hour we had a hookup of a tailor on every cast. They were not huge (probably about 1kg) but we bagged out in 1 hour. In the end we ran out of pillies and started to cut fish strips of the flathead we had taken earlier and 1 of the smaller tailor. Both worked. The fish were in a frenzy. Word had obviously spread and by the end of the hour there were about 15 fishermen in this 1 gutter. What a crazy day. G.

We were over there late sept to early oct. got some absolutly stonkers and a few jews to throw chaos into the evening. We ran our own little competition, only 6-8lbs were uses and your choice of leader. We all got smashed big time and next day we up the line to 20lbs and had things under control until something hit my rod and headed straight for New Zealand, ohhwell, seem everyone had a good time. We probably be back next week end heading to Sandy cape for some spotty.

i was der with the fishing club to and i hooked up to sum big taylor.
the biggest was 1.3kg. all up in 3 days i got 10 taylor and 1 big eye big eye trevally.
it was a good time and cant wait to go bak next year,
