That is a very useful map of the 'Pin that you have put on your website, Nugget.

I have printed one and laminated it. #Many thanks.

What is especially useful are the place names. #That will make understanding various fiishing reports from the 'Pin more easy. Especially at oddly named places like the Mud Clumps, Cod Marsh, Hubner's hut etc. #On that latter one, I cannot actually remember seeing a hut in that spot so I guess that the source of the name is now historical.

Many thanks for producing this map..

Could you send me map of Wavebreak Island & what kinds of fishes will be there. Please and Thanks.

Thanks fellas - I was hoping it would be of use.
It's a first draft - hope to get it sorted a bit better soon.
Also I'm getting copies printed to give to tackle shops in the area that want them so they can hand them out for free.

Harry Hubner had a hut there for many years - I was there the day the Council pulled it down.
No hut there now - I think still a bit of a concrete slab but popular camping area.

Cheers.

Mate - you may have misread my post. I am not the author (or cartographer as the case may be). Dave Downie (Nugget) is the expert. I was merely publicly thanking him for his great effort in producing the map.

Nugget's site is at http://nuggetfishing.com.au/ There is lots of useful info there.

Sorry favourite_whitings - I'don't have a map of Wave Break Island.

When I eventually stop fishing long enough to do one of the Broadwater, I'll let everyone know.

Cheers

that's a very useful map for anyone who wants to fish the pin. If you can't get a feed out of that sell the boat and get a playstation. ;D

you can play join the dots now.

Its an ebbing tide and I'm chasing flathead. I'll start inside squire island on a short pick flicking plastics. Lift the anchor and the tide will carry you to the next 'F' and then to the next - and you almost never have to start a motor.

Where ever you see a 'J' is a hole and you can follow the slack water thru the holes as the tide changes. Bream follow similar patterns.

The map is a great one but still shows a sensitivity to some of the more personal favorites of pin regulars. Keep exploring guys and put your own letters on it.

Nugget,
The concrete slabs are still there and it's my favourite camping spot.
