Had a shovel nose shark on the other night and the guys i was fishing with reconed it was a 6 to 7 footer. Was wondering how heavy of a shark this would be? Felt like a heavy bloody fish!had only 20 lb leader on and it was well buggered when i reeled in. Unfortunatly never landed the fish.

Saw a big white-spot dead on the beach years ago, would have been over 2 metres.
My guess, T-roy would be damn close, but I'd go 60kg.
Personally, I reacon your lucky you didn't land it!
Cheers!

I would have loved to have landed it. Was talking to the guys tonight that seen it hooked and they said it was at least a 30 35 kg fish. suppose its hard to say until u get a good look at him. why u say I am lucky i didnt land him. they are good tucker. My mate caught aestimated 100 kg one and reconed it was great on the barbi.

My wife caught a 6 footer a few months back and we filleted it and ate it. Absolutely beautiful!
As for the weight, I'd estimate 25 kgs.
