Saw somewhere in the last couple of weeks somebody was talking about upgrading to VHF unit in their boat. Thought this link might help with prices. Icoms at whitworths

for anyone after a VHF, the Icom M45 at $249.00 is a steal.

I got my 402 in Cairns for $399 which included a $70 aerial.

I noticed on the Bias website they state "all Australian, NZ and international channels". Are there different channels for different countries that you need to be aware of? Any suggested internet sites for US sales? PM me if it isn't suitable to post.

What's the difference between the 402 and M45?
Is the M45 superseded now?

M45 does not have DSC capability.
I have a M45 & they are sensational units.
Well , i'm glad to say i picked up the last m45 that whitworths had in the country! woohoo! ;D

Well they will have to get more in......or better the price might now drop on the 402 to $249.. ;) ;D ;D
