Hey looking for a good GPS will spend upto $1000, i have got no idea what you pay for a good one.
Make some recommendations and i can probably adjust my budget accordingly =)

I don't need the multi function unit as i already have a Lowrance X125 sounder
What is this GPS like

You have been non-specific but for around a Gorilla you can easily get yourself into a color chartplotter/GPS.
We would recommend the Garmin 172CI as the best in that price range and that will come in under a grand.
Great units with features to burn.

What is the best way to transfer data from PC to the 172CI?
i.e. the Hand held units can be plugged into the PC with easy transfer of data.
What is Garmen Blue Chart and at what cost?
